Mardi Gras Thoughts

The Mardi Gras season is upon us.  A period loved my millions, despised by some, but a period that is here to stay.  A period for partying, eating, parades, and in general merriment.  Beads, bands, floats, costumes, masks, and Krewe parties are all part of the period.
Mardi Gras has been observed for thousands of years.  Originally this period was started by Christian leaders in Europe.  The phrase Mardi Gras is French meaning Fat Tuesday.  Fat Tuesday is the final day of Mardi Gras as Lenton begins the next day on Ash Wednesday.

Mardi Gras is observed in many countries and the US.  The period is observed more in French heritage areas such as south Louisiana.  New Orleans is generally considered the heart of Mardi Gras in the US.  Fat Tuesday in New Orleans has attracted in excess of one million revelers some years.

The Tie Dyed Shop is proud to offer several high quality shirts that are appropriate wear for the Mardi Gras season.  Visit us and see why we have been a leading provider of tie dye for the last 10 years.  Our shirts are high quality as they use 6.1 oz cotton blanks and employ cotton stitching that will dye unlike nylon stitching.

Wishing you and your family a happy Mardi Gras season.
